Advisors Should Prepare Clients For Correction Before It Happens

Investors are getting comfortable with the bull market – perhaps too comfortable.

Complacent clients are more likely to panic when things go wrong, says Andrew Crowell, vice chairman of D.A. Davidson & Co.’s Individual Investor Group, so it’s up to financial advisors to prepare them for the worst.

“Talking about corrections helps people to understand how their plans will behave during all of that volatility,” Crowell says.
